Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich took a trip to Sonora, Mexico earlier this week. He met with Sonora Attorney General Carlos Navarro, Sonora Governor Guillermo Padres Elias, and President of the Sonora Supreme Court Juan Sebastian Sotomayor Tovar, among other government officials. Brnovich spent two days visiting with Navarro in Hermosillo, Sonora. The meeting was organized by the Conference of Western Attorneys General to further discussions regarding cooperation between the neighboring states that began in Phoenix in March.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced today the sentencing of an admitted child pornographer. Marshall MacDonald, 20, was sentenced to 12 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections after entering into a plea agreement in March. His charges include Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and a Dangerous Crime Against Children.

The funding, provided over two years as part of Arizona’s portion of the legal settlement against the maker of the drug Avandia, will support the anti-obesity and diabetes-prevention efforts known as Triple Play and T.R.A.I.L. programs.
