Public Records Request

In accordance with A.R.S. § 39-121 through 39-128 and Arizona case law, all work-related records of this Office, regardless of format, are presumed to be public records. However, various confidentiality laws and privileges may apply to certain records or parts of records. Furthermore, because the AGO is a law office, many records are protected from release due to attorney client privilege or the doctrine of work product. Public records not protected from disclosure will be made available upon request.

Requests for public records concerning the Arizona Attorney General’s Office can be submitted online through the Arizona Attorney General GovQA Public Records Center, or another method below.

Please note that the Arizona Attorney General's Office generally does not maintain records for other agencies or personal records on individual citizens. If you are seeking records which involve another State Agency, please submit your records request directly to that agency.
