Attorney General Mayes Opens Restitution Process for $11.8 Million Choice Home Warranty Settlement

Press Release - Attorney General Kris Mayes

PHOENIX – Attorney General Kris Mayes is urging eligible consumers to submit their information to receive restitution from an $11.8 million settlement with Choice Home Warranty.

On February 10, 2026, AG Mayes announced the $11.8 million settlement. The judgment, entered with the Arizona Attorney General's Office on January 23, 2026, also requires Choice Home Warranty to reform its sales practices and provide meaningful disclosures to consumers before selling warranties.

Consumers who purchased a warranty from Choice Home Warranty over the phone between January 1, 2013 and January 1, 2023 for a property in Arizona may be eligible for restitution.

To receive restitution — up to the full purchase price of the warranty — consumers must complete the online form on the Attorney General's website. Consumers do not need to submit a separate consumer complaint or call the consumer complaint line to be considered for restitution, and only those who complete the form will be eligible.

Restitution claims will be paid as funds become available. The online form can be accessed at www.azag.gov/consumer/chw.
