PHOENIX – Today, Attorney General Kris Mayes announced the sentencing of Ke Andre Montez Gant to 6.5 years of prison. Gant was sentenced for charges of possession and attempts to sell fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and psilocybin mushrooms; illegally conducting an enterprise; and illegal possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. Gant was sentenced in Pima County Superior Court on April 7, 2025.
“The Attorney General's office is making Arizona safer by busting one fentanyl dealer after another,” said Attorney General Kris Mayes. “My office continues to work in lockstep with local law enforcement to put an end to the scourge of fentanyl that's infiltrated every Arizona community. Drug dealers and the cartels should be thinking twice before operating in my jurisdiction."
Between May and September of 2023, in Pima County, Gant was employed by or associated with an enterprise that conducted their affairs through racketeering. That is, he illegally sold methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl for drug proceeds. On September 21, 2023, Gant attempted to knowingly sell approximately 0.161 pounds of fentanyl pills and 0.166 grams of methamphetamine to a third party and was in possession of psilocybin mushrooms. 0.2 mg of fentanyl equates to a potentially deadly dose.On September 22, 2023, Gant knowingly possessed a firearm while he was a convicted felon that did not have his gun rights restored.
Gant was given 6.5 years of prison for Attempting to Sell a Narcotic Drug and Illegally Conducting an Enterprise. He was given 4.5 years of prison for Weapons Misconduct-Prohibited Possessor. These prison terms are set to run concurrently. He was ordered to pay $4,450 to the State Anti-Racketeering Revolving Fund and to forfeit the three guns involved in the crime.
