Attorney General Mayes Announces Sentence in Child Sexual Exploitation Case
PHOENIX — Attorney General Kris Mayes today announced the sentencing of Gehrig Duarte who pled guilty on December 3, 2025 to three counts of Attempt to Commit Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, class 3 felonies and dangerous crimes against children. Duarte was sentenced to 6.25 years in the Department of Corrections followed by lifetime supervised probation with sex offender registration.
“My office will continue to aggressively prosecute those who prey on minors and work to ensure they are held fully accountable under the law," said Attorney General Mayes. "Arizona has zero tolerance for the sexual exploitation of children.”
