PHOENIX - Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Truckers Against Trafficking, the Arizona Trucking Association, Albertsons, and Help Inc., are proud to announce a new partnership to help rescue victims of human trafficking. More than 25,000 rescue stickers will be placed on semi-trucks throughout Arizona to encourage victims of human trafficking to call or text for help. January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

PHOENIX - With data breaches at an all-time high across the country, Attorney General Mark Brnovich is partnering with State Representative T.J. Shope, R-Coolidge, to introduce legislation that would help protect Arizonans from becoming victims of identity theft after a data breach.

AG Brnovich Obtains $2.8 Million Judgment Against Precious Metals Dealer

PHOENIX - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced his office obtained a $2.8 million judgment against Keith Bresee, the owner of Liberty Precious Metals, LLC and Bresee Group, LLC. Bresee is accused of operating a precious metals scam out of Maricopa and Yavapai counties. The court ordered Bresee to pay $2.25 million in consumer restitution and $560,000 in civil penalties.

Chiropractor Found Guilty of Conspiring with Unlicensed Dentist

TUCSON - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Dr. Jesus Bernal, a chiropractor, was convicted by a Pima County jury for allowing an unlicensed dentist to practice out of his chiropractic clinic.

Maria Hernandez, who is not a licensed dentist, would travel up from Mexico to provide unlicensed dental treatments to Tucson residents, working in a makeshift dental office in the Bernal Chiropractic Clinic.

Heroin Trafficking Ring Dismantled

TUCSON - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced the takedown of a heroin trafficking ring that stretched from Arizona to Ohio. A State Grand Jury indicted Gabino Viramontes, Maurice Hawks, Catalina Barrera-Cruz, Ana Cabanillas, Maria Duron, Humberto Villanueva, and Mayra Villanueva for their alleged involvement in the drug trafficking ring.

Unlicensed Contractor Sentenced to Prison after Scamming Arizona Families

PHOENIX - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced James Servellon, an unlicensed contractor, was sentenced to 3.75 years in prison and 4 years of probation. Servellon was previously on the run and listed as one of Arizona Registrar of Contractors’ “Most Wanted."

AG Brnovich Defends Arizona Law Barring State Contractors from Boycotting Israel

PHOENIX - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced his office will defend an Arizona law that prevents state-funded contractors from boycotting Israel. Brnovich filed a Motion to Dismiss in Jordahl v. et al arguing Arizona’s law was enacted to prevent national origin discrimination.
