AG Brnovich Announces Indictment of Accused Glendale Marijuana Grower

Glendale, AZ - Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is announcing that The Arizona State Grand Jury handed down an indictment of James Goulding, 29, last week for two counts of Production of Marijuana, two counts of Possession of Marijuana for Sale, two counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons and Illegally Conducting an Enterprise. The charges are based on an investigation conducted by The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Taskforce.

$1.375 Billion Settlement Reached with Standard & Poor’s

Phoenix, AZ - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that his Office, the United States Department of Justice, the Attorneys General of 18 other states and the District of Columbia have reached a $1.375 billion settlement agreement with Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC (S&P). The settlement resolves lawsuits against S&P that alleged it misled investors leading up to the 2008 financial crisis.

Attorney General Brnovich Takes Over Two High Profile Federal Lawsuits

Phoenix, AZ - Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced today that he accepts the duty of handling two controversial Arizona lawsuits on immigration. Governor Doug Ducey reported that he will give General Brnovich primary responsibility for pending federal litigation concerning SB 1070 and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Governor Ducey expressed trust that General Brnovich will take an approach that is in the best interest of the state and taxpayers.   

Attorney General Brnovich Settles Lawsuit Against Solar Company

Phoenix, AZ - Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced the resolution of a consumer fraud lawsuit filed against Stealth Solar LLC (Stealth) and owners Fred and Sandra Richie. Stealth Solar sold photovoltaic (“PV” or “solar”) systems and energy products. According to the lawsuit filed in 2014, Stealth obtained most of its business by making thousands of telemarketing calls that convinced customers to let Stealth employees make sales pitches at their homes. The company operated in Arizona, California and Hawaii from 2010 to 2014.

Illegal Drugs Found in Load of Broccoli

(Phoenix, AZ)-- Today Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced the indictment of 39-year- old Ata Hamed Taha. He was charged with Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, one count of Illegally Conducting an Enterprise, and one count of Conspiracy. The charges followed an investigation conducted by The Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Interdiction Team.
