Attorney General Tom Horne Files Consumer Fraud Action Against Mortgage Loan Modification Provider

Phoenix, AZ (Monday, June 2, 2014) – Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne is today announcing a recently obtained consent judgment against Maricopa County resident Maria Elena Alvarez that prohibits her from providing mortgage or other consumer loan modification services to Arizona consumers.

Arizona, along with 44 other states, reached a $105 million settlement with GlaxoSmithKline, LLC to resolve allegations that the company unlawfully promoted its asthma drug, Advair®, and antidepressant drugs, Paxil® and Wellbutrin®.
