Attorney General Tom Horne Announces Verdict Against Abuse In Colorado City

Phoenix, AZ (Friday, March 21, 2014) – Attorney General Tom Horne announced a major verdict obtained yesterday against abuse in Colorado City. This includes a $5.2 million jury verdict on behalf of Ron and Jinjer Cooke, who were discriminated against by five official Colorado City defendants, based on religion. Colorado City is where young girls are kept in polygamous marriages by older men, and boys are kicked out of town so the older men will not have competition. 

State of Arizona Announces Change to Lethal Injection Protocol

Two Drug Protocol To Be Used When Carrying Out Executions

Phoenix, AZ (Wednesday, March 26, 2014) -- Attorney General Tom Horne is today announcing that the Arizona Department of Corrections (DOC) has changed its lethal injection protocol to allow for the additional use of a two-drug protocol using Medazolam and Hydromorphone in carrying out executions. 

Attorney General Tom Horne Obtains Indictment Against Maricopa Real Estate Owner

Phoenix, AZ (Friday, March 28, 2014) – After an audit by the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) of Maricopa Properties, LLC revealed a shortage in the company’s statutorily mandated trust account, Attorney General Tom Horne obtained an indictment against owner Dawn Anderson. Maricopa Properties is a property management company based in the City of Maricopa, Arizona. Anderson has been charged with theft, forgery, and fraud schemes and practices.
