Phoenix, AZ  (Tuesday, October 1, 2013) --  “We remain convinced that the airline merger between U.S. Airways and American Airlines is harmful to competition, and to Arizonans. This merger would inevitably result in higher fares and lesser service as more routes would be monopolized by just one carrier.

AG Horne Announces Felony Charges Against Gary Husk and Husk Partners, Inc.

Phoenix, AZ (Thursday, October 10, 2013)  -- Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne is today announcing the unsealing of an indictment of Gary Husk and his company Husk Partners, Inc. for Conspiracy to Make Prohibited Political Contributions and seven counts of Prohibited Contributions. Of the seven counts of Prohibited Contributions, six are directed at Gary Husk and Husk Partners, Inc. and one is directed solely at Gary Husk. 

AG Horne Announces $30 Million Judgment Against National Marketer

Phoenix, AZ (Thursday, October 10, 2013)  --  Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne, along with 46 states and the District of Columbia, announced today that Connecticut-based Affinion, and its subsidiaries Trilegiant and Webloyalty, will pay over $30 million to settle allegations that they misled consumers into signing up and paying for discount clubs and membership. 

Attorney General Tom Horne Warns Consumers To Avoid Scams Centered Around The Affordable Care Act

Phoenix, AZ (Tuesday, October 8, 2013) -- Attorney General Tom Horne is warning consumers, especially seniors on Medicare, to be cautious of scams related to the rollout of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as “Obamacare.”

When a new government program is announced, scams often follow. And this program is no exception. Fake websites, attempts to steal consumer’s personal information, and the sale of bogus Affordable Care Act cards have been reported across the country. 

Horne to Bennett: Those Registering Only With The Federal Form Should Not Be Permitted To Vote In State Elections

Phoenix, AZ (Monday, October 7, 2013) -- Attorney General Tom Horne has sent an opinion to the Secretary of State Ken Bennett, responding to questions received from Bennett. The Opinion concludes that those registering only under the federal form who do not provide evidence of citizenship should not be permitted to vote in state elections, or to sign state petitions.
