(Phoenix, Ariz. – Aug. 2, 2007) Attorney General Terry Goddard will keynote the Tohono O’odham Nation Inauguration Ceremony on Friday honoring incoming Chairman Ned Norris and Vice Chairman Isidro B. Lopez.
Norris and Lopez will be sworn in during an all-day celebration at Baboquivari High School, just south of Sells. The festivities will begin with a mass at 9 a.m. celebrated by Bishop Gerald Kicanas. The swearing-in ceremony will follow the mass at 10:30 a.m. Afternoon festivities include a luncheon and a variety of traditional singers and dancers. The ceremony is open to the public.
