Phoenix Man Sentenced to Prison for Selling False IDs

(Phoenix, Ariz. – Sept. 13, 2006) Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced the sentencing of José Federico Tlazalo, 20, of Phoenix, after he pleaded guilty to participating in an illegal enterprise that offered forged documents for sale. Tlazalo was arrested in April following an investigation by the Arizona Fraudulent Identification Task Force.

He was sentenced in Maricopa County Superior Court to 3.5 years in prison and required to pay $200 in restitution and forfeit $1,214, computer equipment and a handgun. Assistant Attorney General Todd Lawson prosecuted this case.
