PHOENIX – Attorney General Kris Mayes today issued the following statement on a federal court blocking the Trump administration from slashing public health funding:
"These cuts would have hurt Arizonans' ability to access mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and public health services — especially in rural Arizona. The judge — a Trump appointee — made it clear: ‘Agencies do not have unfettered power to further a president’s agenda.’ And she’s exactly right. No administration is above the law. I sued the Trump administration to protect your health, your rights, and the essential services our communities rely on. And I’ll keep fighting to make sure Arizonans are protected."
