FLAGSTAFF – On Tuesday, April 15th at 6:00 PM, Attorney General Kris Mayes will host a townhall in Flagstaff to update constituents on federal lawsuits, the consequences of Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s budget cuts and mass firings, and other critical issues affecting the state.
"I have been heartened by the Arizonans who have come out to our town halls so far to share how Trump and DOGE's attacks -- and our lawsuits fighting back -- are impacting their everyday lives. Please join me in Flagstaff to share how you have been impacted and to hear more about my office's effort as we fight to enforce Arizona law and uphold the U.S. Constitution," said Attorney General Mayes. "We've already heard testimonials that have helped inform our actions. I look forward to hearing from folks in Coconino County next week."
All constituents are welcome to attend and can do so by RSVPing here. The town hall will be this Tuesday, April 15 from 6pm-8pm at the Coconino Center for the Arts, 2300 N. Fort Valley Rd, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
During the town hall, Attorney General Mayes will also answer questions about her lawsuits to hold the federal government accountable for the illegal and unconstitutional actions by President Trump and Elon Musk. The Arizona Attorney General’s office has filed the following lawsuits against the Trump administration to protect Arizonans:
- protecting Birthright Citizenship and the 14th amendment
- blocking the federal funding freeze
- stopping DOGE’s attacks on privacy
- protecting medical and public health research
- stopping Elon Musk’s unconstitutional powergrab
- stopping the indiscriminate mass firings of federal employees,
- protecting Arizona students and schools,
- fighting back against the attack on our public health system,
- protecting Arizona's elections,
- stopping health and research funding delays,
- and protecting our libraries and museums.
As Arizona's top law enforcement office, it is Attorney General Mayes' job to uphold the law and the U.S. constitution. She will continue to fight to reverse authoritarian overreach and protect Arizonans.
