Attorney General Mayes Announces Sentencing in Pima County Organized Retail Theft Case

PHOENIX – Attorney General Kris Mayes today announced the sentencing of Francisco Fuentes. Fuentes was charged after committing hundreds of thefts at Home Depot stores throughout Pima County resulting in a loss of over $100,000. On August 14, 2026, Fuentes was sentenced to 6.5 years in the Department of Corrections and a consecutive probation tail of 7 years. He was ordered to pay $101,753.21 in restitution to Home Depot.

"Organized retail theft raises prices for everyday shoppers, and puts store employees at risk," said Attorney General Kris Mayes. "My office will continue working with local law enforcement and retail partners across Arizona to identify these schemes and hold offenders accountable. I'm grateful to the Oro Valley Police Department and Home Depot for their assistance in building this case."

The Oro Valley Police Department, working with Home Depot loss prevention partners, identified Fuentes and the scheme he used. On July 23, 2026, Fuentes pled guilty to two counts of Organized Retail Theft, one count of Theft and One Count of Illegally conducting an Enterprise.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Matthew McCray.
