Attorney General Mayes Announces Sentence of Methamphetamine Dealer
PHOENIX – Attorney General Kris Mayes today announced that Angel Cesar Cuji-Patajalo was sentenced in Pima County Superior Court on November 4, 2025. Cuji-Patajalo pled guilty to Attempt to Possess a Dangerous Drug for Sale, a class 3 felony.
“My office is fighting drug trafficking on every front,” said Attorney General Mayes. “We will continue to work tirelessly to dismantle the criminal organizations that ship fentanyl and meth into our communities. Those engaged in illicit drug trafficking should be on notice that my office, along with our law enforcement partners, will find you and bring you to justice.”
On May 20, 2025, in Pima County, Arizona, Cuji-Patajalo attempted to knowingly possess approximately 10.15 pounds of methamphetamine for sale.
Cuji-Patajalo was given 3 years of prison. He was ordered to pay $4,500 to the State Anti-Racketeering Revolving Fund.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety investigated this case, and Assistant Attorney General Sabrina Lochner prosecuted the case.
