Arizona Attorney General's Office is Recognized for Women Lawyers

PHOENIX -  At the ‘All in For Women’ reception this week, members of the Arizona Attorney General's Office  (AGO) were celebrated not only for their success, but also for their resiliency in the face of unique workforce challenges presented by COVID-19.

At a ceremony hosted by the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, the AGO was awarded the 'Maricopa Chapter All in For Women Award 2021' on December 13, 2021.

While women make up approximately one third of the lawyers in Arizona, that percentage is much higher at the AGO, where well over half of the 400 attorneys are women. Among them, Dawn Northup and Virginia Herrera-Gonzales, who hold two of the five top leadership positions as Chief Counsel for their Divisions.

AGTV sat down with Herrera-Gonzales and Northup to learn more about the impact of this award:

The AGO was among several organizations recognized for furthering the mission of AWLA, which is to promote and encourage the success of women lawyers in Arizona.
