(Phoenix, Ariz. - June 30, 2005) Attorney General Terry Goddard will join the Prescott Frontier Days Parade this Saturday to celebrate the Independence Day. The parade begins at the Prescott Courthouse at 9 a.m.
This year’s theme for the Frontier Days Parade is Spirit of the American West, celebrating the early days between 1864 and 1912 before Arizona achieved statehood. Prescott served as Arizona’s Territorial Capital and celebrated its first Independence Day in 1864.
This traditional rodeo parade features many horse-related entries. Goddard will be joined by the Fraud Fighters Van, the newest addition to Goddard’s Community Services Program. The van allows the Attorney General’s Office to travel to senior centers, community centers, libraries, and local neighborhood events throughout Arizona, bringing information about identity theft, predatory lending, civil rights issues, as well as providing assistance to anyone who wants to file a civil rights or consumer fraud complaint.
Following the parade, the Fraud Fighter Van and information booth will be set up at Basha’s Grocery Store at 1761 E. State Route 69 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm.
If your community group is interested in bringing the Fraud Fighter Van to your neighborhood, please contact the Community Services Program at 602.542.2123.
