Press Release - Attorney General Kris Mayes

TUCSON – Attorney General Kris Mayes announced today that Geraldine Aboyte was sentenced in Pima County Superior Court to nearly 3 years in prison on April 1, 2026.

Between April 1 and 2, 2025, in Pima County, Arizona, Aboyte attempted to knowingly sell approximately 1.6 pounds of fentanyl pills to a third party.

"Fentanyl is killing Arizonans, and my office will hold those who sell these deadly drugs accountable," said Attorney General Mayes. "There are serious consequences for trafficking illicit drugs in our communities."

The Court sentenced Aboyte to 2.75 years of prison and ordered her to pay $4,500 to the State Anti-Racketeering Revolving Fund and $2,800 in investigation costs to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Aboyte pled guilty to Attempt to Sell a Narcotic Drug, a class 3 felony.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety investigated this case, and AAG Sabrina Lochner prosecuted the case. A copy of the indictment is available. A copy of Ms. Aboyte's booking photo is available.
