Arizona Attorney General’s Office and Tonto Apache Nation Police Department Conduct Human Trafficking Operation at Mazatzal Casino
PAYSON — On August 21–22, 2026, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, in partnership with the Tonto Apache Nation, successfully executed a coordinated human trafficking operation at the Mazatzal Casino. This joint effort resulted in significant interventions, multiple arrests, and the disruption of numerous attempts to sexually exploit minors.

This operation required substantial coordination and specialized expertise. The Attorney General's Office was assisted by the Tonto Apache Police Department, FBI, HSI, Apache Junction Police Department, the Gila County Attorney's Office, and Globe Police Department.
