(Phoenix, Ariz. - Nov. 3, 2010) Attorney General Terry Goddard today encouraged Valley residents to shred old documents and take advantage of a free shred-a-thon Saturday morning in Tempe. The Attorney General’s Office will co-host the event with the Tempe Police Department from 8 a.m. to noon at the Tempe Police Hardy Substation, 8201 S. Hardy.
(Phoenix, Ariz. – Nov. 2, 2010) Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced the indictment of Robert Green, 37, of Phoenix, on multiple charges that include fraud, theft, forgery and perjury for actions he took during his Arizona Senate primary campaign.
(Phoenix, Ariz. – Nov. 1, 2010) Attorney General Terry Goddard is making two grants to fund substance abuse prevention and education programs at Arizona Boys and Girls Clubs.
The first grant provides $45,000 for the Meth Smart Program, which works to educate youth on the dangers of methamphetamines. The second grant allocates $30,000 for the Smart Moves Program, which puts together programs to encourage young people to make smart decisions to avoid substance abuse and other risky behaviors.
(Phoenix, Ariz. -- Nov. 1, 2010) Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced that Miguel Rodriguez Alvarado, 59, who was indicted six years ago for murder in the stabbing death of his wife in Avondale in 2004, has been taken into custody in Mexico.
Based upon the homicide investigation conducted by Avondale police, Goddard said his Office is preparing a petition for extradition to have Alvarado returned to Arizona to face prosecution for the murder.
