Sheriff’s Detectives Implicate 12 People in Child Porn Sting

(Phoenix, Ariz. – Nov. 2, 2006) For the last two months, Sheriff’s detectives have been conducting an undercover computer crimes operation aimed at finding suspects in Maricopa County who are illegally downloading, possessing and distributing child pornography images.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio today, along with Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, announced the arrests of six (6) adults and four (4) teenagers whose charges will be forthcoming. All were sharing what the Sheriff describes as “truly disgusting” images of children, even infants, in very sexual situations.

Five Defendants Indicted in Prescription Drugs Case

(Phoenix, Ariz. – Nov. 1, 2006) Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced an 11-count indictment against five defendants on charges of fraud, theft and possession of a narcotic drug for sale and other charges.

Richard James Solano, Ryan Eugene Lodge, Amoreena Sneed Becher and Nicolas Mark DeGroot were indicted on charges of conspiring to obtain and later sell prescription narcotic drugs. A fifth defendant has been indicted but has not yet been served with the charges.
