Terry Goddard to Participate in Graham County Events

(Phoenix, Ariz. – March 26, 2007) Attorney General Terry Goddard will take part in several events and meetings in Graham County on Wednesday, April 4. They include:

Inaugural Reception

Goddard will host an inaugural reception to mark the beginning of his second term as Attorney General at the Graham County Historical Society Museum in Thatcher.

Keynote Talk at Graham-Greenlee Meth Awareness Conference

Goddard will be the keynote speaker at the Graham-Greenlee Meth Awareness Conference held at the Eastern Arizona College Activity Center. Goddard will speak at noon.

The conference, Reclaiming our Community, is the second annual meth awareness event to provide information about recovery programs, police response and problems associated with meth abuse.

Domestic Violence Shelter Tour

Goddard will tour the Mt. Graham Safehouse Domestic Violence Shelter with the facility director. Goddard will speak with residents and staff about the CUT IT OUT program. CUT IT OUT builds awareness of domestic abuse and trains salon professionals to recognize the warning signs and safely refer clients for help. The Attorney General’s Office has partnered with the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence to develop this statewide program.
