Terry Goddard Offers Video with Car Buying Tips

(Phoenix, Ariz. – July 28, 2006) Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced a video that provides consumers with useful information on buying a car. This program is available on his office’s Web site www.azag.gov and on DVD.

The program, called the 2006 Consumers Guide to Buying a Car -- Tips to Put You in the Driver's Seat, is the latest consumer education effort by the Attorney General’s Office. The 12-minute video gives information on such key points as negotiating a purchase price, loan interest rates, trade-in value and monthly payments.

“Year in and year out, car sales and repairs are the top complaints filed with my office,” Goddard said. “This program provides important information consumers can use to reduce problems when they buy a new or used car.”

Other video programs available on the office Web site include information on Internet safety, predatory lending and identity theft.
