Terry Goddard Marks End of National Victims’ Rights Week

(Phoenix, Ariz. – April 14, 2005)  Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard will travel to Tucson Friday to mark the end of Victims’ Rights Week commemorating this year’s theme: “Justice isn’t served until Crime Victims are,” and honor staff members from the Tucson Attorney General’s Office who have significantly contributed to victims’ rights and interests.

Tucson resident Toni Schnieder will keynote the event. Schnieder’s sister was murdered in 1996 and the defendant is in the process of being re-sentenced under the new rules imposed by the U.S. Supreme Court Decision State of Arizona v. Ring.

The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday and will be held at 400 W. Congress in the Atrium.

Goddard will be available for interviews between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.  If you are a member of the media and are interested in scheduling an interview during this time, please contact Andrea Esquer at 602-542-8019.
