Terry Goddard to Dedicate 23rd Attorney General Satellite Office

(Phoenix, Ariz. – May 31, 2006) Attorney General Terry Goddard will dedicate the newest Attorney General satellite office in Sierra Vista at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 5. The office, which will be the 23rd satellite location, will be based at the Sierra Vista Public Library, 2600 E. Tacoma Street. Goddard will be available for media interviews beginning at 3 p.m.

“The Attorney General Satellite Program fills a huge need in this community. We are pleased to be a part of this effort to bring advice from the Attorney General’s Office to our residents,” said David Gunkel, Director of Library Services at the Sierra Vista Public Library.

The Arizona Attorney General's Satellite Offices provide community-based venues that make it easier for residents to obtain information on consumer fraud, civil rights and victims' rights. Volunteers staff the offices, make educational presentations for community groups, distribute educational materials at community events and assist individuals with filing complaints or referrals for assistance.

The Sierra Vista Public Library’s Satellite Office will be open every 2nd and 4th Wednesday and Thursday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information about the Attorney General's Satellite Offices, please call 602.542.2123 or visit www.azag.gov.
