Terry Goddard Announces 13 Indicted for Making False IDs

(Phoenix, Ariz. – June 6, 2007) Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced indictments against 13 defendants on charges of manufacturing false identification documents, including Social Security cards, Arizona Driver’s Licenses, Resident Alien Cards and other counterfeit documents. Charges also included trafficking in stolen vehicles, selling counterfeit DVD movies and weapons possession.

The indictments are the result of a three-month investigation conducted by the Arizona Homeland Security Fraudulent Identification Task Force (AHSFIT) that found evidence of four unrelated criminal organizations. Members of three organizations were indicted, and charges are pending against members of the fourth. Twelve search warrants were executed in Phoenix as part of the investigation.

The State Grand Jury returned indictments against the following defendants, all of whom lived in Phoenix:

  • Duany Javier Zaldivar Enamarado, 33, on two counts of conspiracy, two counts of illegal control of an enterprise, five counts of trafficking in the identity of another, one count of theft, six counts of car theft, four counts of forgery and two counts of misconduct involving weapons.
  • Alberto Jose Flores Bojorques, 33, on two counts of conspiracy, one count of theft, one count of car theft, two counts of illegally conducting an enterprise and one count of misconduct involving weapons.
  • Yoni Javier Perdomo, 23, on two counts of conspiracy, four counts of trafficking in the identity of another, one count of theft, one count of car theft, two counts of forgery and one count of illegally conducting an enterprise.
  • Steve Gunderson, 55, on four counts of forgery and one count of illegally conducting an enterprise.
  • Osvaldo Rosales Perez, 23, on one count of conspiracy, one count of trafficking in the identity of another and one count of illegally conducting an enterprise.
  • Raymundo Rosales Perez, 22, on two counts of conspiracy, two counts of trafficking in the identity of another, two counts of forgery, one count of unlawful copying or sale of sounds or images from a recording device and one count of illegally conducting an enterprise.
  • Emilio Perez Flores, 29, on one count of conspiracy, one count of unlawful copying or sale of sounds or images from a recording device and one count of possession of a narcotic drug.
  • Eleno Perez Flores, 32, on two counts of conspiracy, one count of illegal control of an enterprise, seven counts of trafficking in the identity of another, one count of unlawful copying or sale of sounds or images from a recording device and 17 counts of forgery.
  • Teodoro Perez Flores, 39, on one count of conspiracy and one count of unlawful copying or sale of sounds or images from a recording device.
  • Adriana Esteva Mathias, 32, on one count of forgery.
  • Francisco Javier Franyutti, 22, on one count of conspiracy, one count of illegally conducting an enterprise, one count of trafficking in the identity of another and two counts of forgery.
  • Javier Sandoval Gonzalez, 40, on one count of conspiracy, four counts of trafficking in the identity of another, one count of illegally conducting an enterprise and seven counts of forgery.
  • Christian Daniel Lopez-Moreno, 26, on one count of conspiracy, one count of illegally conducting an enterprise, two counts of trafficking in the identity of another and five counts of forgery.

All 13 defendants are in custody. The Attorney General’s Office will be petitioning the court to have them held with no bond.

U.S. Border Patrol, Phoenix Police Department, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, Glendale Police Department, Capitol Police Department and the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
