Terry Goddard to Address Victim Advocates

(Phoenix, Ariz. – Sept. 25, 2006) Attorney General Terry Goddard will open the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence conference at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Goddard will describe efforts his office has made during the past three years to help victims of abuse from polygamous communities.

“My office has established unprecedented partnerships with Utah law enforcement and human service agencies,” Goddard said. “Through these partnerships we have established a safety net for victims of abuse that extends across jurisdictional boundaries, and we have increased outreach to victims with sensitivity to the culture and beliefs of the community.”

This two-day conference brings together professionals from throughout Arizona who work with domestic violence victims. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, 10220 N.
