Prison Escapee's Ex-Wife Enters Guilty Plea

(Phoenix, Ariz. -- Nov. 30, 2010) Attorney General Terry Goddard announced that Diana Joy Glattfelder, 43, of Prescott Valley, the ex-wife of prison escapee John McCluskey, today pleaded guilty in Yavapai Superior Court to attempt to hinder prosecution, a Class 6 felony. A sentencing date has not been set.

Her plea comes a week after Claudia Washburn, 68, of Payson, the mother of McCluskey, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution, a Class 5 felony. Washburn is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 7.

McCluskey and two other convicts escaped from a private prison near Kingman on July 30. Two of the escapees, McCluskey and Tracy Province, have been charged with murder in the Aug. 2 deaths of an Oklahoma couple, whose charred bodies were found in a camper in Santa Rosa, N.M. McCluskey was captured Aug. 19 at a campground near Sunrise Ski Resort in Apache County. Province was captured in Wyoming on Aug. 9.
