Attorney General's Office Receives Web Site Awards

(Phoenix, Ariz. - August 12, 2005)  The Arizona Attorney General’s Office received two awards recognizing its Web site from the Conference of Western Attorneys General at its annual meeting last week.

“This recognition is particularly satisfying because our staff has worked diligently over the last year to improve the look and convenience of our Web pages,” said Attorney General Terry Goddard.  “We are continuing to look for ways to make the Web site helpful and easy to navigate.”

The Arizona Attorney General’s Web site was recognized for its emphasis on providing consumer protection information, and the State Attorney General’s dedication to consumer justice.

The features the multi-state selection committee found especially noteworthy include:

  • Top 10 Consumer Scams
  • Scam and Email Alerts to which consumers can subscribe
  • Online Filing of Complaint Forms
  • Educational Community Service Programs, especially for senior, minority and recent immigrant consumers
