Attorney General Terry Goddard Moves Forward with Gasoline Industry Research

(PHOENIX, AZ – June 20, 2003) Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard announced today that his office will continue its gasoline fact-finding mission after sending approximately 2,200 surveys to gasoline retailers in Arizona.

The surveys, sent to Arizona gasoline stations, request information on station ownership, gasoline supply, and pricing.

Goddard said that he and his staff are pleased with the cooperation and response the office has received thus far from the gasoline retailers.

The next step for the office will be to review the survey responses, create a data analysis, and conduct additional research.

In response to consumer interest, the Attorney General’s Office is continuing to improve and update its "Gas Prices" link on its website, https://www.azag.gov/consumer/gasoline, with the addition of a gasoline price complaint form that may now be completed and submitted online.  The AG's office is also working with Governor Napolitano's Gasoline Working Group to add a Frequently Asked Questions, "FAQs", link to its website.
