AG Horne Warns Consumers About Abode Air

PHOENIX- Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne today announced that a lawsuit was filed against Abode Air, LLC for allegedly deceptive telephone solicitation practices. The company is a Tempe-based air conditioning and heating service and installation company. The Attorney General’s Office and the Better Business Bureau have received hundreds of consumer complaints regarding Abode Air’s telephone solicitations, many from senior citizens.

The Attorney General’s Office has requested a temporary restraining order, a permanent injunction, and civil penalties against the company and a court date has been set for August 8, 2011. This matter is being handled by Assistant Attorney General Cherie Howe of the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Section.
