35 Year Old Indicted on Revenge Porn Charges

PHOENIX - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced a State Grand Jury indicted Samuel Hassan Kuyateh on revenge porn charges for allegedly posting nude photos of his ex-girlfriend on the internet. Kuyateh is charged with one felony count of Computer Tampering and two felony counts of Unlawful Disclosure of Images Depicting States of Nudity, a domestic violence charge.

Kuyateh allegedly captured nude images of his girlfriend during their Facetime chats without her knowledge or permission. The relationship ended and the victim attended a wedding with her new boyfriend in July 2017. The wedding party created a chat room where guests and the newlyweds could post pictures of the wedding and events associated with the wedding. Kuyateh is accused of posting nude photos of his ex-girlfriend into the wedding chatroom seen by her family, friends, and other wedding guests.

In 2016, Arizona passed a new revenge porn law sponsored by House Speaker J.D. Mesnard making it a felony to intentionally share a sexual photo or video of a person without that person’s permission with the intent to harm, harass, or intimidate them.

Assistant Attorney General Maura C. Quigley prosecuted this case.
Special Agents with the Arizona Attorney General's Office Special Investigations Section investigated this case.
