Community Outreach and Education coordinators within the Attorney General’s Office have visited hundreds of schools throughout Arizona and have delivered presentations on Internet Safety to tens of thousands of students, parents, and educators. Included as a major goal for the Division is the need to emphasize the importance of Internet Safety and the need to protect our children and teens from the potential dangers that being online can bring. After listening to accounts of how Internet predators work, students are provided with helpful tips on how to control access to their personal information on social networking sites, as well as law enforcement’s most recent efforts to combat Internet predators and Internet crimes.
Protecting children and teens from Internet predators remains a top priority for the Attorney General, and he is committed to education, prevention, and aggressive prosecution of Internet offenders.
