State v. BAZV (disability)

Plaintiff, the State of Arizona ex rel. Terry Goddard, the Attorney General, and the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Department of Law brings this Arizona Fair Housing action (Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1491 et seq.) to correct disability discrimination arising from Defendants' failure to provide a reasonable accommodation to disabled persons.

State v. Ogorzaly (race/color)

This is an action brought under the Arizona Fair Housing Act ("AFHA"), Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1491 to 41-1491.37, to correct a discriminatory housing practice, provide appropriate relief to aggrieved persons, and vindicate the public interest. Specifically, the State brings this matter to redress the injury sustained when Defendants and/or their agents made discriminatory statements, refused to rent after receiving a bona fide offer, or otherwise made a townhouse unavailable to applicants Herman Green, Jr. and Velvie C. Green based on race.

State v. Aimco (disability)

The State brings this action pursuant to the Arizona Fair Housing Act ("AFHA") to correct an unlawful housing practice, to provide appropriate relief to an aggrieved person, and to vindicate the public interest. Specifically, the State brings this matter to redress the injury sustained by James Hayes ("Hayes"), a person with a disability.

State v. Sunland Village (religion)

This is an action brought under the Arizona Fair Housing Act to correct unlawful housing practice, provide appropriate relief to aggrieved persons; and vindicate the public interest. Specifically, Defendant Sunland Village East Association, dba Sunland Village East Homeowners Association, through its board of directors and administrative staff (referred to here as "Defendant"), manages the business and affairs of the homeowners association for Sunland Village East housing development located in Mesa, Arizona.

State v. William Lyon Homes (race)

On November 15, 2005, the State of Arizona, through Attorney General Terry Goddard and the Civil Rights Division {collectively the "State"), filed the abovecaptioned Amended Complaint in Maricopa County Superior Court against Defendant William Lyon Homes, Inc. ("Defendant") alleging that it violated the Arizona Fair Housing Act ("AFHA") Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1491 et seq.

State v. Mlynarcyzk (race/color)

Plaintiff initially commenced this action pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1491 of the Arizona Fair Housing Act to obtain temporary judicial relief to preserve the status quo pending completion of its administrative investigation of two fair housing complaints against Defendants. The Court granted a temporary restraining order (TRO), and scheduled a preliminary injuction hearing in this matter for November 5, 2004.

State v. Town of Payson (disability)

The Town of Payson's zoning code does not allow group homes for recovering alcoholics and recovering drug addicts as permitted uses in any residential zone. This is an action under the Arizona Fair Housing Act, Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1491 to 1491.37, to remedy and provide appropriate damages and penalties for Defendants' unlawful housing practices based on disability.
