The Arizona Attorney General’s Office State Government Division, Employment Law Section, is seeking a Resource Secretary. This position reports to the Section Chief and has primary responsibility for the receipt and proper distribution of all lawsuits received by the Attorney General's Office. As part of this duty, the position provides support and guidance to Administrative Services Division staff in daily dealings with process servers and outside attorneys. This position is also solely responsible for the intake, processing, and tracking of all Charges of Discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against all agencies, boards and commissions in Arizona state government. In addition, the position provides independent completion of complex assignments, providing quality written and verbal support to the Section Chief; preparing a wide variety of timely and accurate reports, legal correspondence, petitions, briefs, pleadings, motions and memoranda; accurate and timely maintenance of legal records/files and case management systems; and appropriate handling of a wide variety of calls, correspondence and visitors. This position is responsible for accurate and timely completion of docketing, calendaring, filing and appropriate administrative support. This position will train new legal support staff; serve as mentor and legal resource for the legal secretaries in the Section; and provide coverage and backup for other support staff with filing deadlines and absences.
