
Seniors Strike Back 2007 is a consumer protection project initiated by Attorney General Terry Goddard and advocacy groups that represent Arizona’s diverse senior population. This project is designed to track down and take legal action against those who violate Arizona laws and take advantage of seniors in our State.
Hundreds of seniors will keep their mail solicitations for the month of April. The large quantity of collected mail will then be sorted to seek any violations of law and misleading solicitation techniques that may be new in the direct-mail industry.
The information gathered during Seniors Strike Back 2007 will be invaluable for law enforcement and consumer education. Through the process, we will strive to put fraudulent operators out of business and better educate Arizona seniors about potential threats that arrive in their mailboxes.
