Description - The Information Services Section has an opening for a Systems Engineer to install, manage, and maintain computer networks and servers. Network infrastructure is comprised of SUSE Linux, Novell Netware & Groupwise, Cisco networking, and Hewlett Packard Intel server technologies. Responsibilities include administering system security, isolating complex network and server problems, providing technical support to PC technicians, and maintenance of login and software installation scripts. Position requires a BS in electronic engineer or equivalent, engineering certification, or five years related experience.
Position is not covered by the State Merit System.
