The Arizona Attorney General’s Office needs Volunteers and Interns.

Volunteer Opportunities are available in the following areas:
Community Services / Fraud Fighter
Conflict Resolution Program
Consumer Information and Complaints
Interns

All applicants under serious consideration with the Attorney General’s Office are required to be fingerprinted by the Office and complete a criminal background check through State and Federal agencies.

Community Services Program / Fraud Fighter

The Community Services Program is looking for volunteers who are willing and able to dedicate their time and energy helping fight consumer fraud or discrimination throughout Arizona. They can volunteer in any of the following ways:

1. Volunteer a few hours a month to staff a local Satellite Office or center. This requires independent work and initiative.

These offices provide convenient locations for Arizona residents to obtain information on how to avoid becoming a victim of consumer fraud, identity theft and predatory lending. They also provide information on civil rights and victims' rights and provide a local venue where residents can file consumer or civil rights complaints.

2. Volunteer as a "Fraud Fighter" in your community. The Fraud Fighters make educational presentations and staff information booths at events and fairs in their local community. They will be trained by an outreach coordinator and will work with them to set an individual schedule for them.

3.Volunteer to assist victims directly by helping to staff our Identity Theft Help Line or the Senior Help Line. These volunteers work directly with people in need of victims of identity theft. They are also trained by our outreach coordinators in how to answer each call and what resources are available to help them fix their situation.

If you would like to become a volunteer with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, please contact the Community Services Program at 866.358.6661 or send an e-mail to communityservices@azag.gov.

Consumer Information and Complaints

Do you enjoy working with the public? Our Consumer Information & Complaints Unit is looking for volunteers willing to assist fellow consumers in resolving consumer complaints.

Our Consumer Information and Complaints Unit is the main clearinghouse for consumer complaints filed with our office.  CIC volunteers work in our Phoenix AG Office under the supervision of the Consumer Information & Complaints Manager.
As a CIC volunteer, you may be asked to contact consumers and/or businesses by telephone for follow up and/or conciliation.  Training is provided by the Consumer Information and Complaints Manager.
